Several area high school seniors have been named to the Indiana Football Coaches Association (IFCA) Region 10 team. They are Gavin Osterman (offensive lineman), Nyden Euson (free safety), and Trey Nishime (ATH) from East Central; Franklin County’s Nate Schallick (offensive lineman); Wyatt Marsh (cornerback) from Milan, and Greensburg’s Ethan Smith (punter). Being named to a region team is the first step toward qualifying to play in the North-South All-Star Game in July.
The Purdue Boilermakers move up six spots to #7 in this week’s AP Top 25 College Basketball poll. The Boilermakers host new #1 Michigan tonight at Mackey Arena. The Wolverines move into the top spot after previous #1 Arizona suffered its first loss of the season last week. The Wildcats dropped three spots to #4. Houston is ranked second, followed by Duke at #3. UConn rounds out the top five.
