Class 3A #7 Batesville hammered Rushville 73-35 in high school basketball heard last night on the Sports Voice. The Bulldogs set a new single-game school record by hitting 17 three-pointers on the night. Batesville’s James Hughes tossed in a game-high 20 points. Teammate Brayden Maple added 13 and Kamryn Holcomb chipped in 11. Zy Adams scored 15 points to lead the Lions. With the win, Batesville improves to 17-2 overall and clinches at least a share of the EIAC championship with a 6-0 mark…
Elsewhere, East Central topped Connersville 53-46 in St. Leon. Liam Rogers led the Trojans with 14 points while Aiden Hallahan added 12 and Cole Reynolds chimed in with 11. East Central improves to 4-1 in the EIAC and 8-11 overall. EC and Batesville meet up at the Dawg Pound tomorrow afternoon.
