Batesville Middle School boys basketball split with Connersville. It was the host Spartans over the Bulldogs in the 7th grade contest 45-34. BMS 7th falls to 9-3. The Bulldog 8th graders stormed to a 46-18 victory to improve to 11-0. Logan Schneider and Clayton Kaiser scored 12 a piece.

St. Louis took two at home from South Dearborn. It was the 7th grade Cardinals coming out on top 27-22. Nathaniel Fuentes led St. Louis with 14 points. The Cardinals took the 8th grade game 45-41. Cam Walke led the way with 18.

North Decatur visits South Ripley in girls high school basketball tonight, weather permitting. WRBI airtime will be around 7:15…In other local action, East Central goes to Jennings County in a battle of ranked teams; Jac-Cen-Del is at South Decatur; Greensburg entertains Eastern Hancock in another matchup of ranked squads; and Milan goes to Switzerland County.

The Cleveland Cavaliers rolled over the Indiana Pacers 135-119 in a game heard last night on the Sports Voice. The loss snaps the Pacers two-game winning streak. Paskal Siakam led Indiana with 26 points. The Blue and Gold drops to 4-17 on the year. They’ll be back in action tomorrow night when they wrap up the homestand against Denver.

The Purdue Boilermakers remain in the top spot in this week’s AP Top 25 College Basketball poll. The Boilers received 40 first-place votes. Arizona remains at #2. Michigan moves up to #3, followed by Duke and UConn rounding out the top five. The Indiana Hoosiers move up three spots to #22.

On Monday Night Football, it was the New England Patriots over the New York Giants 33-15.
