The Milwaukee Brewers came storming back from a huge deficit and knocked off the Reds 10-8 last night at Great American Ball Park in a game heard on WRBI. The Reds jumped out to an 8-1 lead after the 2nd inning. But the Brewers scored five runs in the top of the 3rd, tied the game with two in the 4th and took the lead in the 6th inning before rounding out the scoring in the 7th. The Reds did not have a hit after the 2nd inning and struck out 13 times. Defensively, the Reds committed three errors. Milwaukee has now won 13 in a row. The Reds also missed a chance to overtake the Mets in the National League Wild Card race after New York lost 11-9 at home to Seattle. As a result, the Reds remain a half game behind the Mets for the third and final Wild Card spot. The middle game of the series is this evening. Zach Littell gets the start for the Reds. He’ll be opposed by fellow righthander Quinn Priester. Coverage on 103.9 FM begins at 6:10.

The Reds yesterday placed rookie pitcher Chase Burns on the 15-day injured list with a right flexor strain. Lefthander reliever Joe LaSorsa was recalled from Triple-A Louisville.

The Washington Mystics got past the Indiana Fever 88-84 in WNBA action last night in downtown Indianapolis. Aliyah Boston led Indiana with 20 points. The Fever drops to 18-16 on the year and will be back at it tomorrow on the road against the Connecticut Sun.

The Indianapolis Colts take on the Green Bay Packers in NFL preseason action this afternoon at Lucas Oil Stadium. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
