Versailles, IN — Sunday afternoon the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched for the report of smoke filling the attic of a residence on State Road 129.
Upon arrival, firefighters report that smoke was found in the attic space coming from burning insulation. The source was located and a section of the ceiling was removed along with the burning materials. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, no injuries reported.
Additional support on scene included the Ripley County EMS and Versailles Fire Rescue responded through automatic mutual aid.
