BATESVILLE, IN — The Southeastern Indiana YMCA will offer a free “Safety Around Water” program for 6 to 9-year-olds this summer.
Registration is now open for the four-session class that will be offered Tuesday, May 31 through Friday, June 3 from 6 until 6:45 pm.
Statistics indicate that 60% of kids who drown are within 10 feet of safety, but drowning is preventable.
The Y says the program will ensure children know essential water safety skills.
