(New Point, IN) – INDOT contractors began bridge rehabilitation work Monday night on eastbound I-74 near New Point.
Work is taking place between North County Road 600 East and South County Road 850 East near Exit 143.
The project is expected to be complete in early July, weather permitting.
The right lane of eastbound I-74 is closed while the work is in progress.
This project is part of a $3.2 million contract awarded to E&B in February 2024.
INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones.
All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change
