VERAILLES – A teenager who admitted to having a role in the death of Nancy Hershman of Milan will serve decades in prison.
Daniel Hodge, 17, of Ohio, pleaded guilty in June to felony burglary charges in connection to the break-in.
After the conviction last month Ripley County Prosecutor Ric Hertel said Hodge agreed to serve a 50-year sentence, with 13 years suspended to probation.
That is the sentence the teen received from a judge Thursday as Hodge is expected to serve 37 years behind bars.
Hodge is the second teenager sentenced in connection to the December 2012 death of Hershman. Sean Nichols was sentenced to 30 years in prison in January.
The trial of Allison Moore, 23, has yet to begin.
