Sandra Kay Bowman Meddel Woods, 78, of Greensburg died on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
Sandra was born on August 2, 1943, in Batesville to Hubert and Mary Francis Schutter Bowman. She was a homemaker. Following the death of her first husband, Floyd Meddel, Sandra married Robert Woods on August 10, 2001. Sandra was a member of the Historical Society of Tennessee and the Tennesseans for Living History. She was Mrs. Clause for many years helping her husband Robert as Santa. Sandra enjoyed doing Living History, caring for her flower gardens, cooking, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Sandra is survived by her husband Robert; three children: Donna (Terry) Davis of Jefferson City, TN, Floyd Meddel Jr. (Bill) of Morristown, TN, and Diane (Keith) Lucas of Greenwood, IN; three step-children: Amy Rose, Jennifer Rachel, and Seth Woods; thirteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Floyd.
Honoring Sandra’s wishes for cremation, a Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Creekside Church ~ 11001 Bossert Road Brookville, IN~ at 12:00 p.m. with Jeff Souders officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project ~ P. O.
