Ruth (McIntosh) Baker, 96, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021, in Lawrenceburg, IN surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 9, 1925, in Booneville, KY, daughter of the late Elmer McIntosh and Sylvania (Fields) McIntosh.

She was a member of Ludlow Baptist Church. Ruth was a member of the Women’s Missionary Group. She was an avid reader, but more than anything, she loved reading her Bible everyday. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, gardening, canning, flower gardening, baking, and cooking. She was very hospitable and loved to cook for everyone, especially for her family. Her specialty dishes were deep fried chicken, cornbread, fried apples, and her vegetable soup. She was a wonderful wife, mom and grandma. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ruth is survived by her loving daughters, Ann B. (Mike) Moore of Connersville, Geraldine (William) Fay of Elsmere, KY, Brenda Sue Geisler of Dillsboro, IN, Caroline (Kenneth) LaFollett of Humble, TX; Brother, Andrew McIntosh of Lawrenceburg, IN; Sister, Mary Lay of Brookville, IN; Grandchildren, Amy (Chris) Tupps, Heather (Benjamin) Underwood, Deanna (David) McAtee, Laura Widener, Clarence Werner, Sunshine (Henry) Mullins, Ashley (Luis) Mendoza, Hope Hensley, Casey Joe Ritzmann; 21 great-grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren; niece and care giver, Mayme Jean Bowling; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Sylvania (Fields) McIntosh; loving husband, of 68 years, Delbert “Dell” Baker; daughters, Wilma Jo Ritzmann and infant daughter, Beulah Mae Baker; siblings, Mayme Baker, Thelma Burns, Henry McIntosh, & Letcher McIntosh;

Friends will be received on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, IN. 47001.

Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Moore officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hogan Hill Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
