(Batesville, IN) – The Batesville Music Boosters Inc. is excited to announce a generous $4,000 grant from the Rising Sun Regional Foundation to support the Batesville High School (BHS) marching band.
The funding will be used to purchase a new mixer cart and a folding auxiliary rack, both of which will arrive in time for use during the 2025–2026 school year and competition season.
“We’re deeply thankful for the generous support of the Rising Sun Regional Foundation and the Batesville Music Boosters,” said Band Director Cameron Everage. “This donation will be a tremendous asset to our program. It ensures our students can continue to perform at their highest level, remain competitive in marching band events, and represent our school with pride.”
The BHS Marching Bulldogs will soon begin preparations for their 2025 competition show, Ad Astra.
In addition to performing at every home football game this fall, the band will also compete in a series of regional marching band competitions.
This season marks a milestone for the program, as BHS will host its first-ever Marching Band Invitational on Saturday, September 27.
The event is expected to welcome up to 10 bands from around the region, all competing for top honors.
The public is invited to attend and support the Bulldogs while enjoying a full day of exciting marching band performances.
The Batesville Music Boosters Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the music programs throughout the Batesville Community School Corporation.
Through their fundraising efforts and advocacy, they provide essential resources, equipment, and experiences that enrich the musical education of students.
