Rosemary Stoever Meredith, age 88, of Nashville, Tennessee, a former longtime resident of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Friday, February 16, 2024, at Alive Hospice in Nashville. Born September 13, 1935, in Friendship, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Donald Herbert and Bessie Ann (Montgomery) Stoever. She worked as an accountant at U.S. Tobacco in Hopkinsville, retiring with 21 years of dedicated service. Married to the love of her life, Lacey Meredith, on January 9, 1960, the couple enjoyed 60 years of marriage until he died in 2020. Together they raised six children and were further blessed with six grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. Rosemary was a member of Trigg County Family Worship Center. She loved gospel music, playing the piano, and quilting, and although she enjoyed family meals, she admittedly had no interest in cooking. Proclaimed as the “family bass champion”, she never missed an opportunity to spend a day on the lake fishing with her husband, proudly reeling in the biggest catch of the day. Her family was dearest to her heart and she loved nothing more than being Mamaw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lacey Wade Meredith, a son, Tim Meredith, and a brother, Robert Stoever. She is survived by a son, Russell Meredith (Beverly) of White Plains, KY, four daughters, Donna Wagner (“Rock”) of Cerulean, KY, Gladys Gee (Johnny) of Hopkinsville, KY, Patty Higgins of Joelton, TN, and Debbie Meredith (Pat) of Nashville; her grandchildren, Jennifer Kirby (Zach), Chris Gee (Meagan), Crystal Pendley (Jeremy), Skyler Meredith, Stephanie Higgins, and Ricci Wagner, Jr. (Kari); and nine great-grandchildren, Elijah and Alexandria Kirby, Jaycee, Hailee, and Daylon Pendley, Avery and Grady Meredith, Summer and Jett Wagner. Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2024, with Bro. Ron Hicks and Bro. Mike Rambo officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Hopkinsville. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 6100 Dutchman’s Lane, Ste. 401, Louisville, KY 40205.
