Roselle Merrell, age 88, of Brookville, Indiana died Monday, March 9, 2026 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Born August 25, 1937 in Rose Hill, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Floyd Franklin & Nina Maude (Moore) Busic. On January 19, 1957 she was united in marriage to Herbert L. ‘Whitey’ Merrell, and he preceded her in death on July 22, 2010.
Roselle was retired having worked for over 40 years at the former Peoples Trust Company Bank, later retiring from its successor, MainSource Bank. In her leisure time she enjoyed gardening as well as watching sitcoms on television.
She was a member of Mt. Carmel Community Church.
Survivors include two sons, Scott A. Merrell of Martin, KY, and Jeffrey J. Merrell of Battle Creek, Michigan.
In addition to her parents and husband, Whitey, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joy Evelyn Schneider, who died February 1, 2022.
Family & friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Ave., Brookville.
Rev. Paul Ayers will officiate the Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, burial will then follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana.
