Ronnie “Ron” Lloyd Mills passed away at the age of 75 on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Shawneespring Health Care Center in Harrison, Ohio. Ron was born on Friday, December 20, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of Lloyd and Alta (nee Cole) Mills. Ron proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Southwest Ohio Regional Carpenters Union. He was a member of the Milan American Legion Post #235, where he was very involved with their activities and served as post commander for 8 years, from April 28, 2009 to June 30, 2015 and July 2, 2019 to June 16, 2021. He loved the outdoors, whether he was hunting or fishing. He truly had a “green thumb” when it came to gardening, especially his great vegetable garden. He enjoyed making his Milan Community a better place to live or visit.
Ron will be missed by his daughter Jennifer Cundiff (Michael) of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother Ralph David Eagle of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister Donna Renner (Ken) of Florence, Kentucky; sister-in-law Phyllis Mills of Moores Hill, Indiana; and grandchildren Megan Clem and Casey Cundiff.
Ron was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Mills, dad Ralph Eagle, mother Alta Eagle, son Brian Mills and brother Marvin Mills.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00pm Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Old Craven Cemetery, 2062 N State Road 101, Milan, IN 47031, with full military rites provided by the Milan American Legion Post #235. Family and friends may gather at the Milan American Legion following the graveside service for fellowship and a light luncheon.
