Ripley, Decatur now considered at medium risk of community COVID spread

Southeastern IN — Ripley and Decatur counties are no longer at high risk of community spread of COVID-19, according to the latest data from the CDC.

Both were listed a week in the high category, but are now considered medium risk, while Franklin and Dearborn counties have both moved to low risk.

Meantime, the Decatur County Health Department will hold a Pfizer COVID booster clinic Wednesday (September 14) from 8 am until 4 pm at its office at 315 South Ireland Street in Greensburg.

The booster is recommended for those 12 and over, and the clinic is only for the Pfizer vaccine.

The health department says it will notify the public when it receives the Moderna vaccine.
