Versailles, IN — Ripley County Sheriff’s Deputy Conrad Reichert was recently named Police Officer of the Year by Versailles American Legion Post #173.
It’s not the first time he’s been honored in recent months.
You’ll recall Reichert was awarded the Sheriff’s Office’s Life-Saving Medal in January.
He responded to a call last year in which an 8-year-old child was not breathing.
Deputy Reichert assisted the family in performing CPR on the child.
As a result of their combined efforts, the child survived and has made a full recovery.
