Ripley County crash into house injures three

Batesville, In. — The Ripley County Sheriff’s Department says a crash into a house early Tuesday morning injured three people.

The investigation began at 3:11 a.m. when medical workers at Margaret Mary Health notified Batesville Police that two accident victims came in for treatment, and said another victim was still at the crash scene located at State Road 48 and County Road 650 North.

Deputies from the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene and found the car in the yard along with the injured driver. No one inside the residence was injured.

A report from the Ripley County Sheriff’s Department says Jacob Meadors, 18, of Sunman, was driving the vehicle. Meadors and an unidentified 20-year-old male passenger were transported to University of Cincinnati Hospital by ambulance. A 17-year-old female was flown to University of Cincinnati Hospital.
