FRIENDSHIP, IN — The Ripley County Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbon on the renovated trap line at the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association Walter Cline Range Saturday, which coincided with the start of the 2022 Friendship Spring Shoot.

“The combined effort over the past few years between the NMLRA, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service continues on many parts of the NMLRA grounds in Friendship, but the Trap Range is complete along with the Woods Walk,” said Ripley County Chamber Executive Director Lora Parks. “Thanks to Art Fleener, PR Chairman, and the other committee members for their volunteer efforts who have overseen these projects at Friendship.”

“We were able to revamp the trap line, and now we have 120 shooting stations, three brand new trap houses that will allow us to host ATA (Amateur Trap Association) events,” NMRLA Field Rep Aaron Moystner said. “It took a whole lot of people to get it done and a lot of donated time and money to get the trap range the way it is now, and we appreciate everything.”

The NMLRA Friendship Spring Shoot continues through Sunday, June 19.
