Richard Scott Taylor, 58, of Dillsboro, IN, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025.
He was born on April 6, 1967, in Elwood, IN, to the late Richard Ramey and Jean (Cunningham) Ramey.
Richard was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent 20 years as a heavy equipment operator. Even after his health began to decline, he continued to stay busy as a handyman, working on a variety of projects and doing electrical work. He enjoyed crafting, riding his scooter, and playing Spades, but his greatest joy in life came from time spent with his daughter and beloved granddaughter.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Taylor of Dillsboro, IN; granddaughter, Mackenzie “Kenzie” Kaffenberger; sisters, Janice Nixon, Paula Evans, and Judy Phillips; brothers, Paul Ashford Casey and Kent Taylor; biological mother, Roberta “Robin” Taylor of Long Beach, MS; mother-in-law, Sheryl Bruner McAdams; uncle Dennis Ramey of Germany; and many other dear family members.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Dawn (Bruner) Taylor, and his parents, Richard and Jean Ramey.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana, with a memorial service to follow at 5:30 p.m.
