(Franklin County, IN) – A group of Franklin County residents and farmers want a one-year moratorium placed on solar energy projects.
The grass roots group Concerned Citizens of Franklin County Industrial Solar says a company is looking to purchase 1,500 acres of prime farmland in the Bath area for a solar development.
The group is asking for the moratorium to allow more time to investigate the project’s short- and long-term effects.
Franklin County Commissioners will speak with their attorney before taking a vote on a moratorium.
