Rebecca Lynn “Becky” Gould, 48, of Rising Sun, IN passed away Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Becky was born in Lawrenceburg, IN on January 7, 1975, the daughter of Andy and Jeanie (Taylor) Siekman, of Rising Sun, IN. Becky grew up in Ohio County and was a 1994 graduate of Rising Sun High School.
She married Mark David Gould on October 5, 2004, at the Rising Sun First United Church of Christ. Becky had a wide range of interests, including photography, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She also liked adult coloring books, wood-burning kit projects, and other crafts. Becky also had an interest in artifacts and family genealogy and was a member of the Ohio County Historical Society. Becky’s world revolved around her family. She was a full-time mom to her daughter Dominique with whom she had a special bond. Becky was a loving wife, mom, grandma, daughter, sister, and friend to many. Becky is survived by her husband, Mark Gould, of Rising Sun, IN; by her son, Kirkland Giles (Darcy), of Rising Sun, IN; by her daughter, Dominique Gould, of Rising Sun, IN; by her granddaughter, Ellery Giles; by her parents, Andy and Jeanie Siekman, of Rising Sun, IN and by two brothers, Clint Siekman (Jessica) and Curtis Siekman (Kelsey), both of Rising Sun, IN. Becky is also survived by aunts & uncles: Kathy and Dale Keith, Eric and Erma Siekman, Carol Chalk, and by cousins, Deedee Brown and Rick Cochran, and many other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 30th at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN with Rev. Roger Parrott and Pastor Lane Siekman officiating. Public Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 30th at Markland Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the family. marklandfuneralhome.com
