Rebecca (Becki) Brown Bales passed away in Pasadena, California, on February 20, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on June 6, 1954, Rebecca dedicated her life to the health care industry, serving as a consultant, chief financial officer, and educator. She was the owner of Pasadena Health Care Consulting and served as CFO at Martin Luther King, Jr., Community Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, and the University of Arizona Medical Center. Her roles also included being a partner at The Camden Group and as assistant administration at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. She graduated from North Decatur High School in 1972 and obtained both a BA from Purdue University and a Master’s Degree in Public Health Administration from the University of Southern California.
Becki was known for her caring nature, not only in her professional capacity but also through her involvement with various charitable causes.
Becki is survived by her brother, Richard Brown of Newport News, Virginia, and was preceded in death by her mother Rachel Hannah Brown, father Robert Dale Brown, and sister Elizabeth Brown.
Visitation for friends of Becki and her family will be 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home in Greensburg. A graveside service for the family will be held at South Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be made for the family at www.gilliland-howe.com.
