(Statewide) – If you have not yet traded in your old state identification for a Real ID, you only have two months left before it will be required for flights and other activities.
According to the Indiana BMV, a Real ID is indicated by the star in the upper right-hand corner of your driver’s license, permit, or state identification card (pictured).
Starting May 7, it will be needed to fly and visit/enter certain federal facilities.
In order to get one, you will need to bring various documents to your local branch, including one form of identification, proof of Indiana residency, and your social security number.
Get additional information about the Real ID here, or call the Customer Contact Center at 888-692-6841.
