(Indianapolis) – The IHSAA has released pairings for the 51st annual Girls Basketball State Tournament, setting the sectional bracket for teams across Southeastern Indiana and the rest of the state.
Sectional games begin Tuesday, Feb. 3 and continue through Saturday, Feb. 7. Regional championships will be played Saturday, Feb. 14, followed by semi-state games on Saturday, Feb. 21. The four state championship games are set for Saturday, Feb. 28 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis.
Class 3A sectional 29
On Tuesday, Feb. 3, Batesville will open sectional play against South Dearborn, while Franklin County faces Lawrenceburg.
Greensburg and Jennings County each have a first-round bye and will play their semifinal games on Friday, Feb. 6 against the winners of those opening-round matchups.
Class 2A sectional 45
On Tuesday, Feb. 3, South Ripley opens postseason play against Brownstown Central. The winner advances to face Austin in the semifinal round on Friday, Feb. 6.
Class 1A sectional 60
On Tuesday, Feb. 3, Oldenburg Academy will play Trinity Lutheran in its opening-round matchup.
That same night, Milan faces Rising Sun, while Jac-Cen-Del meets Shawe Memorial.
Class 1A sectional 59
On Tuesday, Feb. 3, North Decatur and South Decatur are paired in the opening round of their sectional.
Class 4A sectional 14
On Tuesday, Feb. 3, East Central will open sectional play against Columbus East.
