After a 4 year drought, the Greensburg Boys Track and Field team earned the team title for the county meet Tuesday evening at GCHS. The 4-time defending champs from South Decatur gave a solid fight throughout, but team depth along with scoring in every event help the Pirates defeat the Cougars 80-52 with North Decatur tallying 24 points.
Earning the distinction of County Champ were: Zach Pokrzywinski, 100m Dash- 11.3 (PR); Jared Hasselbring, 1600m Run- 4:51; Hunter Butz, 800m Run- 2:15.5; Reid McClintic, 3200m Run- 10:47.1; Dylan Cain, Shot Put- 41′ 4 1/2″; Tanner Yonts, Discus- 114′ 3″; 4x800m Relay Squad of McClintic, Kevin Johnson, Louis Moore and Butz in 9:05; 4x400m Relay Squad of Isaiah Myer, Moore, Butz and Daimon Austin in 3:49.2; Charlie Pumphrey, Pole Vault- 10′ (PR) {Non-scored team event tonight}.
2nd Place finishers: Isaiah Myer, 100m Dash- 11.5 (PR) **Ties GCHS Freshman record; 200m Dash- 23.8 (PR) #4 Freshman All-time; Johnson, 1600m Run- 4:53.3; Austin, 400m Dash- 55.3
3rd Place finishers: Collin Springmeyer, 110 Hurdles- 17.9; Jadrian Woods, 400m Dash- 58.4; Pavy, 300m Hurdles- 46.0; ; Matthew Myer, Pole Vault- 9’6″.
4th Place finishers: Devin Hanna, Pole Vault- 8′ 6″; Austin, Long Jump- 18′ 10 1/2″.
Ellie Kramer set a new Decatur County Meet Pole Vault Record Tuesday night. Kramer cleared 8’6 in the non scored event. The previous record was set by Anna Riedeman in 2005 with a 7′ clearance.
The Pirates will be in action Thursday evening when they travel to the Warren Central Relays.

The Lady Pirate Track & Field Team defended their Decatur County Championship Title for the 4th year in a row Tuesday night in Greensburg. The Greensburg Girls 89 beat North Decatur 51 and South Decatur 15.

Runner Up Champs: Erin Browning – Shot Put (35’6.5 PR); Rylie Smith – Long Jump & 300 hurdles; Cathy Newhart – 1600
Julia Ankney – 800; 4 x 100 Relay – Rylie Smith, Mary West, Jaylin Hampton, Montana Whitaker.
3rd Place: Rylie Smith – 100 hurdles; Charlotte Anderson – 3200

4th Place: Kayla Davis – 400.
