
Paul attended Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis. During high school, Paul worked at Standard Grocery. After high school, Paul went to work at a filling station. In February of 1959 Paul started his career at International Harvester/Navistar International where he spent the next 46 years until his retirement. Shortly after starting work at International Harvester/Navistar International Paul married the love of his life, Ruby Lee Short on July 18, 1959. The two would spend the next 63 years together until Paul’s passing. Paul was a member of the UAW Local 98 and the Pepsi-Cola Collectors Club (27-year member). Paul enjoyed attending bluegrass and country music festivals and Pepsi Conventions. He enjoyed working on cars in his younger years and was always up for going on a drive.
Paul is survived by his wife, Ruby Rodenbeck; children: Rita Rodenbeck Miller, Darrell Rodenbeck, LeAnne (Dan) Mann; grandchildren: Tessie Miller, Nettie Miller, Paul Rodenbeck, Brian Rodenbeck, Andrew (Dee) Means, Wyatt Means, Danyel Mann, Landyn Mann; great grandchildren: Keegyn Stuckey, Leia Christakis, Elek Christakis, Sophia Colbert, Blake Rodenbeck, Dahlia Rodenbeck, Brody Rodenbeck, Sloane Ruby Rodenbeck; siblings: Ed George Rodenbeck Jr., Ruth Ann Rodenbeck Still, Richard Lee Rodenbeck; and several nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rhonda Rodenbeck Means; granddaughter, Hallie Miller; and brother, Jimmy Louis Rodenbeck.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg, IN. An additional hour of visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm also at the funeral home. A funeral service will also be held on Wednesday following the hour of visitation at 1:00 pm. Burial will take place in South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.
