Pat Geis, age 89, of West Baden Springs, Indiana (formerly of West Harrison, Indiana), passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Greenwood, Indiana. She was born the daughter of Millard and Sarah (McQueen) Moore on September 21, 1935, in Dearborn County, Indiana.
A 1954 graduate of Bright High School, Pat went on to marry the late Kenneth Raymond Geis. She worked as an assembler for US Shoe from 1954-1961. She then went on to work for The Pillsbury Company in Hamilton, Ohio, until it closed. She ended her career as an antique dealer dealing in antiques and collectibles.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Cathy (John) Carnes of West Baden Springs, Indiana, as well as her granddaughters, Chelse (Matt) Corey of Bedford, Indiana, and Emily (Jason Kennedy) Carnes of Greenwood, Indiana, and great-granddaughters, Sadie Corey and Jovie Corey. She is also survived by her siblings, Paul (Jane) Moore, Clark (Rosie) Moore, Mag (Elmer) Kegley, and Martha (Audie) Bowles, and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Moore and Cherese Moore.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Geis, parents, Millard and Sarah Moore, brothers, HJ “Shanks” Moore, Leroy Moore, James “Ben” Moore, Ed Moore, and Ray Moore, and sisters, Rose Hamon, Julie Shoemaker, and Blanch Lanham.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services held at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Elmer Kegley officiating, all at Chappelow Ridge Pentecostal Church located at 4740 Chappelow Ridge Road, West Harrison, Indiana 47060. Burial will follow at Gibson Cemetery in Bright, Indiana.
