From the latest and greatest ORVC Weekly Report covering the week of January 10, Jac-Cen-Del’s Wyatt Day and Rising Sun’s Alyssa Simpson were named ORVC Players of the Week in basketball.
Day posted 35 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists in two games. He also went over 1000 points at Jennings County in game heard on WRBI. Simpson’s two-game Lady Shiner totals included 27 points and 28 rebounds.
Other Ripley County athletes nominated as top performers included: Jac-Cen-Del’s Regan Hughes, Annabelle Williams Jalee Rider and Caleb Simon; Milan’s Audrey Schmidt; and South Ripley’s Nick Schwarte, Zach Gentile and Blaine Ward.
