North Decatur boys varsity golf narrowly defeated by Connersville

The Chargers boys varsity golf team played a home match against Connersville and MHC opponent Waldron Friday night. North Decatur improved their 9-hole score for the third match in a row, shooting a season-low 159. However, Connersville had a great night as well, handing the Chargers a 5 stroke loss. Waldron finished with a 191.

North Decatur’s Carson Parmer was the medalist for the night, shooting a 36 (+1). Jack Koehne tied his career-best with a 37 followed by Cooper Parmer, who shot a career-best of 42, and Austin Gould with a 44. Owen Eldridge and Scott Morford also participated in the varsity match, shooting 47s.

The JV fell to Connersville, shooting 234 to Connersville’s 208. For North Decatur, Evan Yoder shot 51, Mason Smith shot 55, Brayden Yeager ended with a 65, and Micah Smith finished a 65.
