Norma Mae Sparks, 92 of Milan passed away January 23, 2018 at Ripley Crossing in Milan. Norma was born October 2, 1925 in Dearborn County, IN the daughter of Herman and Lucille (Masters) Waldon. She married Sherman “Cliff” Sparks November 12, 1949 and he preceded her in death September 8, 2010. Norma worked as a Registered Nurse for Reid Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Whitlatch Clinic for 11 years, Ludlow Hill Clinic 4 years and Dr. Robert Wilson for 23 years. She was a member of Milan First Baptist Church, and she was a lifetime member of the Milan Ladies VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Norma is survived by son: James (Dorothy) Sparks of Lawrenceburg; daughters: Judith (Tom) Thompson of Greensburg; Janey Volz of Milan. 7 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, 9 Great-Great Grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, 1 sister and grandson: Tommy Brewington.
Funeral service will be 12 p.m. Friday January 26, 2018 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan with Pastors Harris Long and Charles Miller officiating. Burial will follow in New Craven Cemetery south of Milan. Visitation will be from 10 a.m-12 p.m. Friday also at the Funeral Home.
