Norma F. (Brandt) Dieckmann, 84, of Sunman

       Norma F. (Brandt) Dieckmann, 84, of Sunman passed away Monday, September 23, 2024, at Ripley Crossing with her loving family by her side. Norma was born on Tuesday, June 18, 1940 in Ripley County; daughter of Elmer and Mildred (Grossman) Brandt. Norma married the love of her life, Carlos Dieckmann, on April 23, 1960, and he preceded her in death on November 12, 2020. Norma was a beautician, seamstress, and most importantly, a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Milan Lions Club, the Ripley County, Indiana Farm Bureau where she was on the board and a women’s leader, past member of the Ripley County Homemakers Club, Ripley County 4H Ten Year Member, and a 4H leader. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking, gardening, and spending time outside. Most of all Norma cherished the time well spent with her family.

Norma will be missed by her children Kathleen Sperling of Columbus, Ohio, Karen (Steve) Seymour of Waldron, Indiana, and Mark (Dawn) Dieckmann of Napoleon; and grandsons Corey (Jhenie) Sperling and Zachary Sperling.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Mildred Brandt; husband Carlos Dieckmann; and son-in-law Timothy Sperling.

Family and friends may gather in remembering Norma from 4:00-6:45 PM, Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. The Milan Lions Club will hold their services at 6:45 PM. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 AM, until the time of service at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 27, 2024, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church: 7124 N State Rd. 101, Milan, IN 47031, with Pastor Mark Booster officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Norma to St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery or Milan Lions Club.
