Nathaniel Michael Wirsch, a sweet 14 year boy with a kind spirit, will be remembered for his caring demeanor and big heart. Nathan, a resident of Bright, IN passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Nathan was always eager to help anyone in need and often stopped what he was doing to make others his priority. Respectful and polite to everyone he met, Nathan enjoyed playing board games, constructing Lego masterpieces, and entertaining the babies and kids in the family. He loved to laugh at the crazy antics of his cousins while trying to maintain a straight face and follow the rules. An avid animal lover he had several pets including dogs Ajax, Maddie, & Sasha and cats Birdie, Kitten, & Sam. To say Nathan loved baseball was an understatement. Playing since he was four years old, he looked forward to every baseball season and couldn’t wait for weekly training with his batting and pitching coach, Tony Witt. He was not only a great pitcher for the Hidden Valley Lake Monsters, but a great teammate and friend.
In school, Nathan excelled, earning straight A’s and was a member of the Junior National Honor’s Society. He played trombone in the East Central Middle School band and loved to immerse himself in reading any books he could get his hands on. In the 4th grade, while attending Bright Elementary, he won an award from the Lion’s Club for the best essay on United States Flag Etiquette. This essay led him to winning Sectionals, then Regionals, and ultimately being one of the top eight essays in the State of Indiana.
Nathan will be deeply missed by his dad Kenneth Wirsch and mom Lauren (Troy) Robinson; grandmother Kathleen Wirsch; brother Zachary Martin and step brothers TJ (Allie) Robinson, Jacob Robinson, Caden Robinson; uncles Kevin (Aimee) Wirsch and Andrew (Jessica) Wirsch; nephew Trey Robinson; and cousins Regan, Alex, Wyatt, Ashton, Taylor, Campbell, Baker, Brooke, Riley, Olivia, and Reese.
