Nancy Lynn Shearer, 69, of Dillsboro passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. Nancy was born on Wednesday, March 28, 1956, at the 6022nd USAF Hospital on the Johnson Air Force Base Irumagwa in Honshu, Japan; daughter of Donald Ray Shearer and Zoe Ann (Brinsley) Shearer. Nancy worked as a cashier at Quick Pix in Versailles. She loved to tend to her garden and also enjoyed sewing. She had a passion for horseback riding and dearly loved her dogs. Most of all Nancy cherished spending time and making memories with her family.
Nancy will be missed by her son Jacob (Kayla Stone) Calkins of Trafalgar, IN; daughter Sarah (Bob) Eckstein of Versailles; parents Donald and Zoe Shearer of Mount Dora, FL; sister Shirley Griffin of Wildwood, FL; niece Kristin Shearer of Tavares, Florida; grandchildren Sophia Calkins and Patrick Eckstein; as well as several other nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her brother David Shearer and brother-in-law Carl Griffin.
There are no services at this time. Memorials may be given in honor of Nancy to PAWS of Dearborn County or Ripley County Humane Society.
