Nancy Jo Niles, age 82, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025. She was born on March 24, 1943, in Greensburg, Indiana, the daughter of Gilbert Hyatt and Gaynol McHenry Wilson. A 1961 graduate of Greensburg High School, Nancy remained proud of her community throughout her life.
Nancy devoted her life to her family as a loving and dedicated homemaker. She was a member of the AOA Sorority and was known for her kind heart, infectious sense of humor, and outgoing spirit. Nancy had a deep love for her family, which was evident in every part of her life. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, watching the weather channel, cheering on her favorite player, Patrick Mahomes, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Brian) Brewsaugh; her son, Greg (Candy) Niles; grandchildren, Lauren Brewsaugh, Dylan (Larissa) Brewsaugh, Brady Niles, and Kara Niles; and great-grandchildren, David Bruce “Trip” White, Colten Wayne Dyer, Raelynn Jo Brewsaugh, and Braxton Scott Brewsaugh. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Doug Hyatt.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Jon Porter will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Greensburg/Decatur County Animal Shelter—a cause close to Nancy’s heart.
