MYC Recognized by Batesville Council

(Batesville, IN) – The Batesville Mayor’s Youth Council was recognized for its efforts during the 2023-24 school year at Monday night’s City Council meeting.

The 27-member group contributed 1,553 1/2 volunteer hours, with seven students putting in 75 or more hours this year.

They are Ella Wolters, Henry Spreckelson, Jon Spreckelson, Veronica King, Amelia Vierling, Alyssa Cummings and Riley Balser (pictured).

Wolters is the lone outgoing senior and was recognized for her years of service to MYC.

Her time with the organization will be remembered through a plaque donated by MYC to the City, which will be displayed on the second floor of the Memorial Building near Council Chambers.
