Ms. Katherine Irene “Kathy” Scudder, age 83, of Switzerland County, Indiana, entered this life on August 10, 1941 in Switzerland County, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Herman and Agnes (Niccum) Scudder. She was a 1961 graduate of Patriot High School in Patriot, Indiana. Kathy was formerly employed for Randall’s Textron, Inc. in Vevay, Indiana for 14 years. She was also employed as a housekeeper for Holiday Inn and Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida. She was a lifelong resident of Switzerland County and also resided in Florida for 23 years. Kathy enjoyed playing bingo, cards, working puzzles and watching football and basketball. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kathy passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at her residence in Switzerland County, Indiana.
Kathy will be missed by her son, Eugene Scudder of Clearwater, FL; her daughter, Carla Fayette Scudder of Clearwater, FL; her grandchildren, Shane Scudder of St. Petersburg, FL, Jordyn Scudder and her companion, Gary Nibarger of Bennington, IN and Monica Jakubowski and her husband, Casimer of St. Petersburg, FL; her great-grandchildren, Maddix, Brayson, Brantlee, and Caliber; her sisters, Virginia Romans of Patriot, IN, and Roxie Jacoby of Rising Sun, IN; her sisters-in-law, LaDonna Scudder of Plant City, FL, and Teresa Scudder of Waller, TX, and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Agnes (Niccum) Scudder; her daughter, Lynana Jo “Lyn” Scudder, died September 13, 2020; her brothers, Delbert, James, Leslie, George, Harold, and Gordon Scudder; her sister, Donita Couch and Linda Downing; her sisters-in-law, Linda Downing, Mary Ann Scudder, Audrey Scudder, Patricia Scudder and Janice Scudder; and her brothers-in-law, Howard Romans, Karl Jacoby, and Roy Downing.
Kathy’s wishes were to be cremated with no services being held at this time.
