Mrs. Paula Renee (Begley) Turner, age 54, of Patriot, Indiana, entered this life on February 6, 1969 in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was the daughter of, Thomas Wayne and Sylvia Jean (Peters) Begley. She was raised in Beattyville, Kentucky where she attended Lee County High School. Paula was united in marriage to Gordan “Wayne” Turner, Jr. on August 2, 2008 in Patriot, Indiana. She was employed as the dietary manager for Pine Noll Assisted Living Center in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, for three years. She was also employed for The Water’s of Rising Sun as a cook for five years. Paula was a former custodian for the Rising Sun School Corporation for 12 years. Paula was a member of the Beattyville Baptist Church in Beattyville, Kentucky. She enjoyed gambling, playing bingo and spending time with her family & friends. Paula passed away with her loving family by her side at 11:51 a.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at her residence.
Paula will be deeply missed by her husband, Gordan “Wayne” Turner, Jr. of Patriot, IN; her sons, Korey Turner of Patriot, IN and Josh England of Rising Sun, IN; her grandchildren, Aubrey England and Rhiannon Clark; her mother, Sylvia Jean (Peters) Begley of Beattyville, KY; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gordan “Wayne” Turner, Sr. and Mary Katharine “Kathy” (Ledbetter) Turner of Patriot, IN; her sister, Angie Begley of Beattyville, KY; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Amanda and Jay Jones of Patriot, IN and David and Bobbie Turner of Rising Sun, IN and her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Wayne Begley, died June 15, 2002 and her brother, Jeffery Wayne Begley, died May 10, 2005.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2023, by Rev. Mike Jones, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 31, 2023, by Pastor Mark Coburn, in the Peters Cemetery, on Long Branch Road (across the road from 1750 Long Branch Road residence), Beattyville, Kentucky 41311.
