Mrs. Paula Jane (Bailey) Carrico

Mrs. Paula Jane (Bailey) Carrico, age 61, of Rising Sun, Indiana, entered this life on November 11, 1960 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Paul Denver and Anna Rozella (Emery) Bailey. She was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana where she graduated from Switzerland County High School. On February 23, 1991, Paula was united in marriage to Jeffery Wayne Carrico in Vevay, Indiana. This happy blended family of nearly 31 years was blessed with three sons, Steven, Joseph and Michael. Paula was a former employee for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana for 20 years. She was later employed as a dealer for Belterra Casino Resort & Spa in Florence, Indiana for 20 years. Paula enjoyed cooking and canning and will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends. Paula passed away at 12:37 a.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at the King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

Paula will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jeffery Wayne Carrico of Rising Sun, IN; her sons, Steven Black and his wife, Kerri of Charleston, SC, Joseph Waller and his companion, Laura Williams of Fairview, IN; her step-son, Mikie Thomas of Vevay, IN; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Juilfs and Julieann Thomas; her brother, Paul Denver Bailey, Jr. of Fairview, IN; her sister, Pamela Wainscott of Fairview, IN and her several nieces, nephews, cousins and abundance of friends and co-workers.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Denver Bailey, Sr., died June 26, 1989; her mother, Anna Rozella (Emery) Bailey, died August 5, 2017; her son, Ryan Scott Black, died July 20, 1994; her daughter, Amy Lynn Waller, died June 19, 1985 and her sister-in-law, Virginia Lynn “Vickie” (Elliott) Bailey, died March 29, 2019.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 14, 2022, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 14, 2022, at 1:00 pm, by Rev. Mike Jones and Pastor Keith Morris at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
