Mrs. Nila Jean (Lauderbaugh) Robinson, age 59, of Daleville, Indiana, formerly of Switzerland County, Indiana, entered this life on September 12, 1960 in Anderson, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late, Norris Wayne and Betty Jo (Bennett) Lauderbaugh. She was raised in Switzerland County and Anderson, Indiana and was a 1978 graduate of the Switzerland County High School. Nila received her associates degree in business administration from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Nila was united in marriage on August 18, 1984 at the Nazarene Church in Anderson, Indiana to Fritz Robinson. This happy union was blessed with a daughter, Katie Jo. Nila and Fritz shared 42 years as soul mates together and nearly 36 years of marriage together until her death. Nila owned and operated Sweet Memories Antiques in Anderson, Indiana for several years. She was employed as a placement specialist for the Hopewell Center in Anderson, Indiana for several years. Nila was employed as the cafeteria manager and cook for the Daleville Jr./Sr. High School from 2005 – 2018. Nila was affectionately known as the “Lunch Lady.” Nila will be lovingly remembered for her love of gardening, live music, being at the school with kids and watching her daughter play the piano. Nila passed away at 9:30 a.m., Sunday, July 19, 2020, at the Ascension Saint Vincent in Anderson, Indiana.
Nila will be deeply missed by her husband, Fritz Robinson of Daleville, IN; her daughter, Katie Jo Robinson and her companion, Gabriella of Daleville, IN; her dog, August “Auggie Dog”; her grandmother, Stella (Romans) Bennett of Vevay, IN; her aunts and uncles, Louis and Norma Lauderbaugh of Crawfordsville, IN, James Irvin “Nub” Scott of Moorefield, IN, Gordon and Nancy Bennett of Rising Sun, IN and Janet “Peachy” and Robert “Bobby” Kent of Indianapolis, IN; her several nieces and nephews; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Karen Robinson of South Bend, IN, Frank Robinson of Anderson, IN, Mary Anne and Courtney Smith of Anderson, IN, Francis and Rita Robinson of Anderson, IN and Kevin and Sandy Robinson of Anderson, IN and abundance of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norris Wayne and Betty Jo (Bennett) Lauderbaugh; her brother, Larry William Fair; her aunts and uncle, Linda Lee (Lauderbaugh) Scott and Lowell Wayne and Donna Sue (Ayler) Bennett.
