Mrs. Geraldean (Gross) Ewing, age 80, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on May 12, 1944 in Vevay, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Arbrey Thomas “Tommy” and Emma D. (Walston) Gross. She was raised in Vevay, Indiana where she attended school. Geraldean was united in marriage to John Barney Ewing, Jr. and he passed away on May 17, 2001. Geraldean was a former employee for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana. She was later employed at The Pine’s Restaurant in Madison, Indiana for a few years. She was later employed in housekeeping for the Ogle Haus in Vevay, Indiana for several years. Geraldean was employed as the custodian for the Switzerland County Courthouse in Vevay, Indiana, retiring after 21 years of service. Geraldean enjoyed cleaning, watching TV and working on puzzle books and loved her cat, Dotty. Geraldean passed away at 1:20 a.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at the Norton King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana.
Geraldean will be deeply missed by her loving son, Ricky L. Sebree of Vevay, IN; her brother, Paul Everett “Pete” Gross of Madison, IN and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arbrey Thomas “Tommy” Gross, died July 19, 1970; her mother, Emma D. (Walston) Gross, died July 9, 1999; her sister, Shirley Gross, died April 27, 2009; her step-brother, Alvin William Gross, died April 2, 2006 and her sisters-in-law, Linda Kay Gross, died January 26, 2010 and Nora B. Gross, died March 25, 2015.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 3, 2024, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 3, 2024, by Pastor Pat Lanman, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
