Mrs. Carol Ann (Burke) Brockman, age 92, of Seminole, Florida, entered this life on December 5, 1932 in Buffalo, New York. She was the daughter of the late Lester J. and Agnes A. (Smith) Burke. She was raised in Lackawanna, New York and was a 1950 graduate of Our Lady of Victoria High School. She received her business degree from Bryant & Stratton College in Buffalo, New York. Carol was united in marriage on December 23, 1977 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Charles Douglas “Doug” Brockman and they shared over 34 years together until his passing on January 19, 2012. She was a former teacher’s aide for kindergarten -8th grade in Western New York for several years, retiring on June 30, 1978. Carol loved children and traveling all over the world. Carol passed away on Thursday February 27, 2025, at her home in Seminole, Florida.
Carol is survived by her son, Bernard J. “Bernie” Murphy of Seminole, FL; her sister, Margaret Sebastian and her husband, David of Georgetown, KY; her brother, Joseph Burke of Buffalo, NY, and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester J. and Agnes A. (Smith) Burke; her husband, Charles Douglas “Doug” Burke, died January 19, 2012; her son, Timothy Joseph Murphy, died August 24, 2024; her brothers, Edmund and James Burke, and her sister, Kathy McKenna.
Inurnment will be conducted in the Pleasant Cemetery, Pleasant, Indiana.
