Mr. William Stanley “Bill” Smith, age 58, of Florence, Indiana, entered this life on March 24, 1967 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the son of the late Wilbur Stanley and Sherry Lee (Call) Smith. He was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana and attended John Marshall High School. Bill was united in marriage on May 17, 1987 to Linda Sue Cox in Indianapolis, Indiana. Bill was a mechanic for several years and enjoyed his shopping trips to Walmart with his daughter. He also enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, tinkering on cars, watching football, and was an avid Colts fan. Bill passed away at 12:26 a.m., Sunday, November 30, 2025, at his residence in Florence, Indiana.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda Sue (Cox) Smith of Florence, IN; his daughter, Melina Hill and her husband, Tim of Indianapolis, IN; his grandchildren, Jordan, Chase, James, Clinton, Jazzy, Katelynn, Kayden, Kody, and Jara; his great-grandchildren, Zariah and Koah; his sister, Vicky Hinman of Florence, IN; his niece, Suzanna; and his best friend, Jonah Leonard and his family of Indianapolis, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur Stanley and Sherry Lee (Call) Smith; his sister, Sheryl Lynn Nicely; his brothers-in-law, Monty Warren and William Cox; and his nephew, Monty Warren.
Bill’s wishes were to be cremated with no services being held at this time.
