Mr. Jacob Louis “Jake” Parker

Mr. Jacob Louis “Jake” Parker, age 36, of Patriot, Indiana, entered this life on June 15, 1985 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. He was the loving son of, Bobby J. “Bob” Parker and Teresa A. (Renyer) Coy. He was raised in Switzerland County where he was a 2003 graduate of the Switzerland County High School. Jacob was united in marriage to Julie Christine See on August 4, 2007 on the farm in Patriot, Indiana. This happy union was blessed with a daughter, Cheyenne Paisley Parker and a son, Kail Avery Parker. Jacob was employed as a painter and welder for Aurora Casket Company in Aurora, Indiana from 2003-2006. He was later employed as a welder for Titan Steel in Monroe, Ohio from 2006-2007. Jake was later employed as a heavy equipment operator for Hilltop Basic Resources in Patriot, Indiana from 2007-2010. Jake became a certified firefighter in 2009 and volunteered for the Jeff-Craig Volunteer Fire Department in Vevay, Indiana. He was also employed for the Switzerland County EMS from 2010-2014. Jacob was later employed as a sealer team member for the Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Georgetown, Kentucky from 2015-2018. He was later employed as a contributor and shift supervisor for Dorman Products in Warsaw, Kentucky from August 2018-February 2021. Jake was currently employed as a supervisor for Phoenix at Nucor Steel since March 1, 2021. Jake was an impeccable worker and loved to learn and excel to the highest expectation. He developed strong positive relationships with customers and co-workers. He resided in Georgetown and Williamstown, Kentucky for a few years until moving back to the Switzerland County community. He was baptized at the Patriot Baptist Church in Patriot, Indiana. He enjoyed restoring cars and trucks, as well as, golfing. Above all, Jake loved spending time with his children. Jake passed away at 10:13 a.m., Sunday, October 3, 2021, at the King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

Jake will be missed by his children, Cheyenne Paisley Parker and Kail Avery Parker of Rising Sun, IN; his mother, Teresa A. (Renyer) Coy of Patriot, IN; his father and step-mother, Bobby J. “Bob” and Donna Parker of Independence, KY; his brother, James “Jimmy” Parker and his wife, Kim of East Enterprise, IN; his step-brothers, Uriah Coy and his wife, Donna of Greensburg, IN and Ben Coy and his wife, Sarah of Columbus, IN and his several aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers.

He was preceded in death by his maternal-grandparents, Harry Louis Renyer, died April 21, 1997 and Barbara Ann (Duvall) Renyer, died August 22, 2012; his paternal-grandparents, James Herman Parker, died April 5, 1957 and Hazel Viola (Keen) Parker Cooper, died December 27, 2003 and his step-father, Allen Coy, died May 25, 2013.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 14, 2021, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 15, 2021, by Pastor Pat Lanman, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery, Patriot, Indiana.
