Mr. Jackie Miller, age 85, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on November 25, 1938 in Hazard, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Harrison Miller and Sylvania (Hudson) Miller Grigsby. He was raised in Hazard, Kentucky where he attended school. Jackie was united in marriage on June 28, 1974 to Ramona Baatz in Fairland, Indiana. This union was blessed with twins Melinda and Mathew. Jackie was employed for a gas station in Indianapolis, Indiana and later for Freightliner Trucking in Indianapolis, Indiana for several years. Jackie moved to the Vevay community in 2004 where he resided until his passing. Jackie enjoyed playing guitar and the banjo, squirrel and rabbit hunting, fishing, as well as, playing games and card games and hunting ginseng herb. Jackie passed away at 7:25 a.m., Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana.
Jackie is survived by his daughter, Melinda Hunt and her husband, Doug of near Quercus Grove, IN; his son, Mathew Miller of Louisville, KY and his grandchildren, Mackenzie Miller, Lauren Hunt, Payton Miller and Kirstyn Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers and sisters.
Private interment will be held in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
