Brookville, IN — On Wednesday afternoon, deputies with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department were called to investigate a personal injury accident involving a motorcycle on US 52 at the intersection with Holland Road.
Thomas R. Vonderhaar, 60 of Batavia, Ohio, told deputies that he was operating his 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on US 52. Vonderhaar reported that he laid down his motorcycle in an attempt to avoid striking another eastbound vehicle in the rear.
Vonderhaar, along with passenger Donna J. Vonderhaar, 52 also of Batavia, were transported by Laurel EMS to Mercy West Hospital in Cincinnati for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident.
