(Milan, IN) – Milan American Legion Post #235 has donated $10,000 to Milan Community Schools.
The donation will help offset rising motor coach transportation costs for the annual 8th grade Washington D.C. trip, which is planned for May 2024.
Sponsors of the trip were concerned the huge jump would prevent many eliminate many of the students who anticipate only a small increase each year.
They contacted the Legion for help and its members responded in a big way.
The Milan D.C. trip sponsors expressed gratitude to the Legion for the donation and show of support for Milan students.
