Milan American Legion Honoring, Thanking Veterans

(Milan, IN) – With Veterans Day coming up on Tuesday, November 11, Milan American Legion Post #235 is honoring and thanking all veterans.

Post members say they especially appreciate the service of four local military retirees:

  • Chief Petty Officer Russ Moore, who served 22 years in the U.S. Navy;
  • Master Sergeant Richard Rothweiler, 28 years with the U.S. Army;
  • MSgt. Kenneth Schlinkert, 25 years, U.S. Air Force; and
  • MSgt. Dustin Peetz, four-and-a-half years with the Navy and 15 1/2 years with the U.S. Marine Corps.
“Not only did they serve our country for many years, but they continue to support other veterans and their communities as Legion members,” said Post 235 Commander Walt Ruggles.
