Michael Richard Hotopp, 75, Lawrenceburg

Michael Richard Hotopp, 75, of Lawrenceburg passed away on July 17, 2025. Born on February 14, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of Richard and Elaine (Dupps) Hotopp.

He honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from 1969 to 1975, embodying dedication and courage. After returning home, he built a fulfilling career as a landscaper, taking pride in shaping and nurturing every garden and yard he touched. Above all, he cherished his family—especially the joy of watching his grandchildren grow—and fondly remembered his faithful canine companion, Lulu. His unwavering work ethic, warm spirit, and boundless love for those close to him leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew him.

Michael is survived by his daughters: Sierra Hotopp and Shana Hotopp; son, Lance (Kelly) Hotopp; grandchildren: Ava Snyder, Ivy Snyder, Forrest Hotopp, Emma Hotopp, and Dalton Hotopp.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Geralyn Gunther.

Friends and family may call on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm followed by a military service at 6:30 pm conducted by the Batesville VFW Post #3183 and Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271, all at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville.
