Michael Rawlins, 76, of Dillsboro passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Waters of Dillsboro. He was born Monday, July 10, 1944 to Charles Rawlins and Estella (Schultz) Rawlins. Michael spent several years working for the Handicapped Workers Association. He was a member of the Hopewell Masonic Lodge F & AM #80 in Dillsboro for 50 plus years. He loved to collect anything and everything he could find related to the Cincinnati Reds. Michael also enjoyed eating out at restaurants, arts and crafts, shopping, and singing Alan Jackson songs.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 from 10 AM to 11 AM at Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home. A service will follow with pastor Tom Holt officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Moores Hill. Memorials may be given in honor of Michael to donor’s choice.
