
Maude is survived by son Rev. Vernon (Sharon) Wheeler of Milan, Indiana; daughters Joyce (Larry) Noah of Greensburg, Indiana, Norma Banks of La Fayette, Kentucky, and Jacqueline (Bob) Kissell of Beavercreek, Ohio; brothers Ralph Watson of Piney Point, Maryland, Claude Watson of Salisbury, Maryland, and George Watson of Sacramento, California; sisters Letha Marie Hines of Brooksville, Florida and Betty Hopper of Bethel, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; and several great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Alonza Watson; husband Vernon Wheeler; daughters Verna Lee Wheeler and Alethia Woliung; sisters: Pauline Salyers, Ruth Watson, and Jewel Perkins; brothers: Leo Watson, Bobby Watson, Marion Watson, and Edward Watson; son-in-law Stewart Banks; granddaughter Amanda Banks; and grandson Scott Johnson.
Family and friends may gather to remember Maude from 5 – 7 PM Wednesday, September 23 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. A service celebrating her life will be held 11 AM Thursday, September 24 also at the funeral home with Rev. John Wells officiating. Burial will follow in New Craven Cemetery.
